The Church of Scotland is recruiting for a Participatory Budgeting Development Worker

Overview

The Scottish Government have offered funding for a key project to support up to eight congregations across Scotland in areas of rural and urban disadvantage.

Within this fixed-term post you will work with 8 congregations across Scotland to develop their understanding of participatory budgeting and to support them in running a participatory budgeting exercise in their local neighbourhood.  Key tasks will include the co-ordination of externally provided training, supporting churches in the development of participatory budgeting and representing the Church and Society Council in meetings with partners and funders.

An effective communicator with the ability to enthuse and motivate others you will be comfortable using your initiative and managing your own workload to meet exacting deadlines. Additionally you will be highly numerate with the ability to manage a small budget.

Due to the period of funding it is intended that the post holder would be available to start in the post before the end of the year.
